Avengers Assemble 5

"Yes I understand I'll call her back immediately" Nora Wakeman sighed as she ended the communication.

"I hope you know what you're doing Dexter" she thought as she began contacting her 'daughter'

The screen changed showing a mechanical girl with blue "pig tails", from her surroundings it appeared she was just leaving school

"Oh hey Mom, me, Brad and Sheldon were…"  she began before Nora cut her off

"Sorry Jenny but I need to you to come home right away" she said. Jenny gave a grunt of annoyance.

"Can't it wait?" she asked, Nora shook her head and sighed.

"I'm afraid it can't dear, please don't dawdle it wouldn't be nice to keep our guests waiting"

Before Jenny could ask who these guest were Nora ended the communication.

As the screen went blank Nora heard the tell tale sound of jet engines coming from outside. Making her way to the front door she opened it in time to see Dexter's ship touch down on her lawn.

She approached the ship and watched as Dexter exited the vehicle followed by his four passengers.

"Hello Dexter, it's been a while" Nora greeted as Dexter gave a polite nod in return

"It's a pleasure to see you again Miss Wakeman" he agreed

"Are you going to introduce me to your friends?" she asked indicating to the group of slightly disorientated passengers.

"Of course" Dexter replied "The young man in the hazmat suit is Amity Park's own Danny Phantom, the young lady and her partners are Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable A.K.A team Possible"

Nora gave an impressed look "Quite a selection you have there but who is he?" she asked as Jack stepped forward

"This is Jack, he is apparently a Samurai warrior that was removed from his time period by and sent into the far future by a powerful foe, however an unknown force has brought him back into our time" Dexter explained

" And is he trustworthy?"  Nora asked lowering her voice so only Dexter could hear.

"I believe so, he's definitely human and certainly has useful skills making him an unexpected bonus for the team"

"Hey Mom I'm…….Who are these guys?"

The two scientist turned to see Jenny watching the avengers warily as she moved to stand next to her mother.

"Jenny this is an old friend of mine, Dexter" Nora explained allowing Dexter to approach Jenny.

"Jenny Wakeman, I am here to request your help in repelling an impending alien invasion" Dexter said

Jenny's eyes went wide "What an invasion, from who?" She asked

"Do you remember the Lorwardian invasion from a few months ago"

"Yeah but only one drone actually landed near here, wasn't too tough" She replied

"Well they're back and with twenty times the  numbers they had before" Dexter said

"And that's where I come in right?" Jenny asked earning a nod from Dexter

"After advising the president and the various peace keeping organisations I have been given permission to put together a team to combat these invaders" he said indicating to the group behind him

"Jenny, I'm here to ask you become an Avenger" He said

"Avenger?" she questioned an amused expression on her face

"I didn't choose the codename" he sighed "Will you help us?"

Jenny sighed before reaching out and shaking his hand "Sure I can't really say no can I, I mean this is what I was built for" she replied

Dexter smiled as the rest of the team came forward to make introductions "Welcome aboard"

"So how many more stops do we have?"  Danny asked as Jenny said her goodbyes to her mom.

"Just one, Computress set co-ordinates for New York"

"Alright New York!" Ron said as Kim rolled her eyes

"So who are we recruiting?" Jack asked as the team boarded the ship

"A demon"
